Satyajit Ray's contribution to literature :- 







Introduction :-

Satyajit Ray is one of the most mind-blowing outstanding scholars among the exceptionally capable journalists in Bengali writing. From one perspective, he is renowned overall as a producer, similarly he has enhanced Bengali writing with his extraordinary works. One of his accomplishments is that he has opened a great universe of creative mind for youngsters in Bengali writing. Satyajit Ray : Life and Literature :-

Birth and Genealogy : satyajit Ray was born on 2nd may 1921  Father's name is Sukumar Roy and Grandfather Upendrakishore Roychowdhury.  Mother name is Suprabha Roy. being born into this noble family,  Satyajit Ray inherited the innate qualities of his predecessor.  He was also known as Manik in familiar circle. 
 
Education:-
He passed matriculation from Ballygunge Government High School. After that he passed BA from Presidency College with Honors in Economics. After that he got admission in Santiniketan Kalabhaban. During this time he got the opportunity to get acquainted with various types of music, literature and creative works. His teacher at Santiniketan was Vinodvihari Mukhopadhyay.


Career:-
He joined DJ Kimmer as a Visualizer in 1943 AD. He then started drawing book covers when Cygnus Press was established. His first decorative illustrations were published in Mouchak magazine. He then gradually rose to the position of Art Director at DJ Kimer.

His Contribution in the film world :-
As a filmmaker, Satyajit was multi-talented and his body of work was immense. He produced 37 feature films, documentaries and short films. His first film Pather Panchali (1955) won 11 international awards, including the Best Human Documentary Award at the 1956 Cannes Film Festival. Pather Panchali, Aparajit (1956) and Apur Sansar (1959) – collectively known as the Apu Trio, are widely regarded as the best works of Satyajit's career. Through films, Satyajit has done various works including screenplay writing, characterization, music notation, cinematography, art direction, editing, list of artistes-talents and designing propaganda. In a colorful career, he has received many international awards, the most famous of which is the Academy Honorary Award or Oscar in 1992. Which he achieved as recognition of his entire career. He also won 32 National Film Awards. 

Literary achievement of Satyajit Ray :-
Satyajit Ray was a unique and rare talent in Bengali literary world. Each of his literary works are equally popular among readers of all ages. Satyajit Ray's literary works can be divided into several categories. For example :- (a) Professor Shanku's stories, 
(b) detective character Feluda's stories, 
(c) Tarinikhuro's stories,
 (d) Mulla Naseeruddin's stories,
 (e) autobiography,
 (f) essays,
 (g) poems,
 (h) others. Literary works, 
(i) translated stories and
 (j) unfinished works. 


(a) Stories are Professor Shanku :-
Professor Shanku is a Bengali scientist of international fame created by Satyajit Ray. Cone's stories are mainly science fiction and mystery. Satyajit Ray published a total of eight books on Professor Shanku. Among these books, the most notable stories are - Diary of a Voyager, Swarnaparni, Professor Cone and the Bloodfish Mystery, Professor Cone and the Wonder Doll, Cone's Parlokcharcha, Dr. Shering's Memory - etc.

(b) Stories of Detective charector Faluda :-
The immortal creation of Satyajit Ray is the detective character Feluda. By creating this character, he gave the detective story an international dimension. He wrote about 18 short stories and 17 novels with the character of Feluda. Some of the most notable of these works are - Feluda Deshagiri, Sheyal Devata Rahasya, Samaddar Chabi, Golokdham Rahasya, Napoleon's Letter, Jahangir's Gold Coin,Badshahi Angi, Sonar Kella, Kailase Scandal, Jayababa Fallunath, Bombay Bombay, Curse of Chhinmasta, Darjeeling Jamzmat - etc. . 

(c) Tales of Tarinikhuro :-
Tarinikhuro is a man of varied and diverse experiences created by Satyajit Ray. The various stories written about Tarinikhur are - Maharaja Tarinikhur, Tarinikhur and Andrajalik, Narris Sahib's bungalow, mass interruption, storyteller, Dumnigarh mankhako, cone Cassle, Dhola, Dhola, Dhola, Dhola, Dhola, Dhola, Dhola, Dhola. Case of Betal, Mahim Sanyal - etc. 

(d) Stories Of Mulla Nasiruddin :-
Mulla Nasiruddin is a popular character in the Middle East. Collecting many of his stories, Satyajit Roy published a collection called Mulla Nasiruddin's Tales.

(e) Autobiography :-
Satyajit Roy also wrote his autobiography. The name of this autobiography is - "When I was young". 

(f) Essays :-
